Managing your activity ranges from duplicating an activity to editing/deleting an activity and overriding activity default.
Managing your activities is about the following details:
- Duplicate an activity: While duplicating an activity information of all elements excluding transaction and results will be duplicated. The duplicated file will also have a different Activity Identifier.
To duplicate an activity:-
- Select the ‘Activities’ option from the left side bar menu. A list of all the activities will be displayed on the page.
- Hover over the activity you want to duplicate. Click on 'Duplicate this activity'. (See picture below)

- Delete an activity: IATI strongly recommends against deleting data once it has been published. An activity can be deleted from the Activity List page. Once an activity is deleted, it cannot be retrieved.
To delete an activity:-
- Select the ‘Activities’ option from the left side bar menu. A list of all the activities will be displayed on the page.
- Click on (⋮) and then click on 'Delete'. (See picture below)
- A pop up notification will appear on the screen after you click on delete.
- If you’re sure you want to delete the activity, click on ‘Yes’.
- After you click on ‘Yes’, a green bar will appear on the top confirming the deletion as successful.
Note: Deleting a published activity from AidStream does not delete the activity from the IATI Registry. If you want to remove any information from the IATI Registry, please reach out to IATI Helpdesk at support@iatistandard.org for further assistance.

- Edit an activity:
1. Select the ‘Activities’ option from the left side bar menu. A list of all the activities will be displayed on the page.
2. Click on the particular activity you want to edit.
3. You will get redirected to the activity details page of that activity.
Note: If you’re editing an activity that has already been published, you will have to re-publish it after you finish editing it. - Override activity default:
- Click on the ‘Override Activity Default’ option in the right column of the activity details page.
- You will be redirected to a form with fields with default values. Make the required changes. These fields can be changed to reflect the values for the particular activity.
- Once all the fields have been edited, click on the blue ‘Save’ button to save the changes.
- The pre-defined default values set at the organisational level will now be overridden and replaced with the new values.
